Description

Evergreen shrub or small tree. Leaves alternate, small, held in one plane, elliptic to ovate, glossy dark green above, paler below; margin entire. Flowers axillary, solitary or in few-flowered clusters, white. Fruit held in a cup of the persistent calyx, resembling small acorns, yellow to red when ripe.
