They are native to Rio Grande Do Sul, Mata Atlântica, Cerrado, Amazônia, U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, and The Contiguous United States. They have white flowers. Flowers are visited by Obscure Skipper, Exoprosopa fascipennis, Hylephila phylaeus, and Burnsius oileus. Individuals can grow to 0.2 feet.
