Ranunculus japonicus is a species of perennial herb in the family Ranunculaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They have broad leaves and achenes. Flowers are visited by Lasioglossum occidens, Lasioglossum allodalum, Melanostoma scalare, and Lycocerus lineatipennis.
