Ranunculus flammula (Lesser Spearwort) is a species of perennial herb in the family Ranunculaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Canada, Alaska, The Contiguous United States, Greenland, Western North America, and Saint-Pierre Et Miquelon. They have simple, broad leaves, yellow flowers, and achenes. Flowers are visited by Parasyrphus punctulatus, Platycheirus scutatus, Common Pollen Beetle, and Chalcosyrphus nemorum. Individuals can grow to 1.5 feet.
