Spiriferinoidea is a superfamily of lamp shells. There are 110 species of Spiriferinoidea, in 18 genera and 3 families. This superfamily has been around since the ludlow epoch. It includes groups like Mentzeliidae, Spiriferinidae, and Sinucostidae. They have sexual reproduction. They are sessile animals.
