Nelsonia canescens (Blue Pussyleaf) is a species of annual herb in the family Acanthaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Cerrado, Pará, Maranhao, Bahia, Acre (Brazil), Minas Gerais, Puerto Rico, Amazônia, Mata Atlântica, and GoiáS. They have simple, broad leaves.
