Asemnantha was a monotypic genus of flowering plants in the family Rubiaceae but is no longer recognized. The genus contained only one species, i.e. Asemnantha pubescens, which is found from Mexico to Central America. It was sunk into synonymy with Chiococca.

Asemnantha es un género monotípico de plantas con flores perteneciente a la familia Rubiaceae.[1] Su única especie: Asemnantha pubescens Hook.f., es originaria de Centroamérica, donde se encuentra en las selvas lluviosas desde México hasta Belice.
El género fue descrito por el botánico y explorador inglés Joseph Dalton Hooker y publicado en Genera Plantarum 2(1): 106-107, en el año 1873. (7-9 Abr 1873).[2]
