Penstemon virgatus (Upright Blue Beardtongue) is a species of perennial herb in the family Plantaginaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States and North America. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Common Branded Skipper, Pahaska Skipper, Paratrytone snowi, and Black Swallowtail. Individuals can grow to 0.24 m.
