Leaf-blades oblong, ovate-oblong, or oval, 2-7 cm. long, abruptly shortpointed, densely whitish-tomentose or lanate-tomentose and pale beneath, thinly pubescent and bright-green above, mostly rounded at the base, short-petioled ; sepals ovate, 6-7 mm. long, the glands less than one half the length of the sepal-body ; petals yellow, the larger ones 16-18 mm. long, the blades suborbicular or oval, denticulate ; free portions of the filaments subulate, longer than the tube ; samaras obovate, 14-18 mm. long, each with a dorsal ridge.
Type locality : Near Talisco [Jalisco] .
Distribution : Mexico.
