Bunchosia strigosa Schlecht. Linnaea 10 : 242. 1836 Leaf-blades ovate-oblong or elliptic-oblong, 5-10 cm. long, obtuse or acute, somewhat
veiny, sparingly pubescent above, glabrous or nearly so beneath, acute or obtuse at the base, short-petioled ; pedicels pubescent ; sepals broadly ovate, 4-5 mm. long, the glands fully one half the length of the sepal-bod}; inner petal resembling the others ; ovary and style pubescent ; drupes not seen.
Type locality : Tehuantepec, Oaxaca. Distribution : Southern Mexico.
