Description

Shrub or small tree. Bark greyish, smooth; branches opposite, often with spines in 3's. Leaves opposite, along most of the branches, narrowly elliptic, up to c. 7.5 × 2.5 cm, hairless with paler lateral veins; domatia present. Flowers in 3-25-flowered heads, greenish-yellow. Fruit asymmetrically ovoid, up to 2.5 × 2 cm, 2-lobed, blackish.
