Platynereis is a genus of segmented worms in the family ragworms. They are biodiffusors. They are omnivores. Individuals can grow to 100 mm. They have parental care. Reproduction is semelparous, iteroparous, and gonochoristic. They rely on drag powered swimming to move around.
