Glabrous, green, about 3 dm. tall ; flowering stems erect. Leaves spatulate, about 2 cm.
long, obtuse; inflorescence loose, cymose-paniculate, about 10 cm. broad and 16 cm. long,
its branches lax, slender ; pedicels 2-3 mm. long ; calyx-segments ovate-lanceolate, acute
4-5 mm. long; corolla red or pink, 10-11 mm. long, its lobes lanceolate, acute, ui^ited
nearly to the middle ; anthers about 2 mm. long ; carpels erect, united at the base.
Type locality : Waldo, Oregon. Distribution : Oregon.
