Fall 2012 Cloudberry (Rubus chamaemorus) leaves turning yellow and orange. When they are ripe, cloudberries look like yellow raspberries. They grow in the northern hemispheres boreal and arctic habitats, and are a favored fruit by people of the north. The Cloudberry plants are nestled with Labrador tea (Rhododendron groenlandicum), cranberries (Vaccinium vitis-idaea) and crowberry (Empetrum nigrum). Photo by Mary Stensvold.
