Vespula maculifrons (Eastern Yellowjacket) is a species of Hymenoptera in the family Vespidae. They are native to The Nearctic. They visit flowers of trumpet creeper, sweet fennel, Japanese Knotweed, and American witchhazel. They are diurnal herbivores. Individuals can grow to 18 mm. They rely on flight to move around.
