Calidota clarcana Dyar
Calidota clarcana Dyar, 1916, p. 7.
Forewing 24.0 mm. Head yellowish grey, with single black medial spot on vertex. Tegulae yellowish grey, each with central black spot. Patagia yellowish grey, each with black, longitudinal streak. Rest of thorax worn. Forewing dark greyish brown and white. Hindwing yellowish grey and white. Dorsal surface of abdomen reddish orange, with black medial and lateral patches on segments 2–8, edged sparsely with pinkish white scales; ventral surface of segments 2–7 greyish yellow, with some yellowish white scales, segment 8 dark greyish brown laterally and reddish orange medially.
Described from a single male (USNM 18833) from Guerrero Mill, Hidalgo, Mexico.
Holotype ♂: “Guerrero Mill, Hidalgo, Mexico, alt. 9000 ft., Mann & Skewes; Type No. 18833 U.S.N.M.; Calidota clarcana Dyar Type; Holotype ♂ Calidota clarcana Dyar A.W. 1967; Arctiidae genitalia slide No. AW500.”
