Dianthus sinaicus is a shy plant with tiny flowers. This is more or less 1:1 closeup. This is a perennial plant scattered in the Negev Desert Highlands (S Israel) and Sinai Mountains (Egypt). Most flowers bloom in May-June, but in autumn there is a smaller wave of bloom. I was so happy to find them yesterday.

An almost leafless shrublet, leaves opposite reduced, flowers whitish, cut petals.
