A plant up to 2 m. or more tall, with angled branches; leaf-blades lanceolate to elliptic or ovate, 10-13 cm. long, 4-5.3 cm. broad, acuminate at the apex, tapering at the base; petioles 1-2 cm. long, grooved above; inflorescence paniculate at the base, racemose above, 1.5-2.5 dm. long; bracts and bractlets lanceolate; flowers pedicelled; sepals greenishwhite, broadly elliptic to oval-ovate, 3-3.5 mm. long, 2-3 mm. broad, rounded at the apex, persistent in fruit; stamens ■ertcd on the disc; filaments subulate, 2 mm. long; anthers elliptic, 0.8 mm. long; ovary subglobose, 7-8-carpellary, the carpels connate; fruit depressed-globose, 5-7 mm. in diameteJ ; seeds subreniform, 2.8-3 mm. long.
