Enteromius prionacanthus (Mahnert & Géry 1982)

Diagnosis: mouth subterminal or slightly inferior; two pairs of barbels, anterior pair 1.0-1.2 and posterior pair 1.1-1.4x eye diameter; lateral line complete; 25-29 scales in lateral line; 4.5 scales between lateral line and origin of dorsal fin; 11-12 scales around caudal peduncle; dorsal fin with concave border, last simple ray strongly ossified and serrated on posterior side; large dark stripe on sides; base of first rays of dorsal fin without black spot; dorsal fin colorless (Ref. 81639).Description: medium-sized species; lips only feebly developed; scales with divergent striae; 4.5 scales between lateral line and mid-belly; 2.5-3 scales between lateral line and pelvic fin insertion; D:III-IV,7-8; A:III,5; P:15-16; V:8; dorsal fin with concave border, last simple ray longer than head (Ref. 81639).Coloration: ground color more or less dark brown dorsally an on flanks; abdomen bright pale yellow; opercle with golden brown spot; black band from tip of snout to caudal fin base; fins pale yellow-orange; first dorsal rays dark grey or nearly black; distal part of pectoral, anal and caudal fins dark grey (Ref. 81639).
