Symphyacanthid acantharea, spicules (20) of similar length and shape, very thin, with or without apophyses or extensions; endoplasm yellow-brownishcentrally, with a single large nucleus and lithosomes; ectoplasm is clearwith thin strands forming pseudopodial network; capsular wall thin; periplasmic cortex is stretched between the tips of spicules; numerous axopodia and 16 flat myonemes per spicule.
