Liane. Leaves opposite. Flowers in axillary paniculate cymes. Corolla deeply 5-lobed, without a distinct tube. Corona arising from base of filaments, 5-lobed; lobes free, broadly obcordate or obreniform, with or without a dorsal process. Follicles thick, divaricate. Seeds flattened, with an apical tuft of hairs.
