Combretum wattii is a dediduous somewhat scrambling tree or small shrub whose distribution is limited to Kaokoveld in Namibia and a small element of the adjacent sector of southwest Angola, both in the northern Namib Desert. This species characteristically is found along watercourses, even though most of these drainages are desiccated for most of the year.
Commonly known as the Water bushwillow, the subcircular leaves are bluish or grayish green, chiefly on abbreviated lateral shoots. Flowers are somewhat large at a characteristic size of about 45 by 15 millimeters; flower colouration ranges from deep pink to reddish, with elongated green stamens.
