They are native to Rio Grande Do Sul, Amazônia, Pará, The Neotropics, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Mata Atlântica, Cerrado, Mato Grosso, GoiáS, Santa Catarina, Paraná, RondôNia, SãO Paulo, and Acre (Brazil). They have achenes.
