They are native to Sergipe, Pernambuco, Bahia, Tocantins, Minas Gerais, Piauí, Pantanal, Rio Grande Do Norte, Ceará, GoiáS, ParaíBa, SãO Paulo, Mato Grosso, Rio De Janeiro, Rio Grande Do Sul, Acre (Brazil), Paraná, Espirito Santo, Amazônia, Maranhao, Mata Atlântica, Cerrado, Santa Catarina, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Caatinga, and Alagoas. They have compound, broad leaves and capsule fruit.
