Handroanthus barbatus is a species of tree in the family bignonias. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are listed as near threatened by IUCN. They are native to Pará, RondôNia, Mato Grosso, Amazônia, and Roraima. They have broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 25 m.
