Antarctia emerita Schaus
Antarctia emerita Schaus, 1933, p. 586.
Forewing 18.5 mm. Head, thorax, and forewing greyish brown. Hindwing light yellow proximally, greyish brown distally. Dorsal surface of abdomen golden yellow, with greyish brown, transverse, medial band at anterior margin of segments 4–6; ventrally greyish brown.
A single male (USNM 34450) from Villa Rica, Paraguay, is designated in the original description.
Holotype ♂: “Oct. 1923; Jorgensen coll.; Villa Rica, Paraguay; Type No. 34450 U.S.N.M.; Antarctia emerita Schs Type; xl 74; Holotype ♂ Antarctia emerita A.W. 1967; Arctiidae genitalia slide No. AW519.”
