Veronica peregrina (American Speedwell) is a species of annual herb in the family Plantaginaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to Canada, Puerto Rico, The Contiguous United States, and China. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Holcopasites heliopsis, Common Sootywing, Ruby-throated Hummingbird, and Corimelaena pulicaria. Individuals can grow to 0.12 m.
