Heliotropium curassavicum (Salt Heliotrope) is a species of annual herb in the family Boraginaceae. They are succulent plants. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to Uruguay, Hispaniola, Cuba, Saint Kitts And Nevis, Panama, Paraguay, Colombia, Canada, Venezuela, United States, Puerto Rico, Rio Grande Do Sul, Bolivia, Hawaii, Cayman Islands, Saint Vincent And The Grenadines, ParaíBa, Nicaragua, The Contiguous United States, Saint Lucia, The Bahamas, Pernambuco, Argentina, Brazil, Guyana, Guatemala, Guadeloupe, Honduras, Mexico, Jamaica, Barbados, U.S. Virgin Islands, Suriname, SãO Paulo, Grenada, Chile, Costa Rica, Pampa, Antigua And Barbuda, and Caatinga. They have white flowers and drupes. Flowers are visited by Wandering Skipper, Ochlodes yuma, Vanessa cardui, and Bat MERS-like coronavirus. Individuals can grow to 1.2 feet.
