Gentiana andrewsii (Closed Bottle Gentian) is a species of perennial herb in the family Gentianaceae. They are native to The Contiguous United States and Canada. They have purple flowers and capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by Dusky-banded Forest Fly, Trypoxylon tridentatum, Cerceris clypeata, and Distichona auriceps. Individuals can grow to 2 feet.
