Plants 20 cm. tall or less, more or less matted; leaf-t>lades linear or nearly so, 5-1 1 mm. long, obtuse, serrulate; pedicels 6-14 together, glandular; calyx 9-10 mm. wide, the lobes linear to linear-lanceolate; corolla white or whitish, globose-urceolate, 6-8 mm. long, glabrous; stamens included; filaments much longer than the anthers, glabrous.
Type I/OCality: Aleutian Islands.
Distribution: Alaska and Unalaschka; also from Kamtchatka to Japan.
