Bombax ceiba (Kapok) is a species of tree in the family mallows. They have a self-supporting growth form. They have compound, broad leaves and capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by White-shouldered Starling, Great Myna, Ashy Drongo, and Crested Myna. Individuals can grow to 5.3 m.
