Tilia americana (American Basswood) is a species of tree in the family mallows. They are native to United States, The Contiguous United States, North America, Mexico, Eastern North America, and Canada. They have yellow flowers. Flowers are visited by Common Eastern Bumblebee, Megachile addenda, Question Mark, and Eastern Tiger Swallowtail. Individuals can grow to 100 feet.
