Portulaca oleracea (Common Purslane) is a species of annual herb in the family Portulacaceae. They are succulent plants. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii, The Contiguous United States, and Canada. They have simple, broad leaves and capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by Agapostemon splendens, Lasioglossum albescens, Checkered White, and Trigonisca intermedia. Individuals can grow to 0.05 m.
