Myrica gale (Bog Myrtle) is a species of shrub in the family Myricaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Saint-Pierre Et Miquelon, The Contiguous United States, North America, Canada, Eastern North America, and Alaska. They have simple, broad leaves and blue flowers. Flowers are visited by Neoascia podagrica, Banded Meliscaeva, and Melanostoma mellinum. Individuals can grow to 7 feet.
