CIliate, 30-50 x 17-30 microns. Shape ellipsoid, laterally strongly flattened. Pellicle on the right strongly notched by the ciliary rows. Macronucleus spherical, one spherical micronucleus. Contractile vacuole in posterior part on the ventral side. Extrusomes so far not described. With 14 longitudinal ciliary rows. Oral apparatus in the front third of the cell. With 3 diagonal adoral membranes.
