Phymatosorus scolopendria (Monarch Fern) is a species of perennial herb in the family Polypodiaceae. They are native to Côte d’Ivoire, Cameroon, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Angola, South Africa, Zambia, Ghana, Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii, and Gabon. They have simple leaves. They have alternation of generations.
