Sassafras albidum (Mitten Tree) is a species of shrub in the family Lauraceae. They are native to The Contiguous United States, Canada, Eastern North America, and United States. They have yellow flowers. Flowers are visited by Pearly Sedgesitter, Rhamphomyia limbata, Scar-horned Blacklet, and Hairy Wood Fly. Individuals can grow to 75 feet.
