Pteridium aquilinum (Bracken) is a species of perennial herb in the family Dennstaedtiaceae. They are native to Alaska, Saint-Pierre Et Miquelon, Canada, The Contiguous United States, and Hawaii. They have bipinnate + pinnatifid leaves and green flowers. Flowers are visited by Bombus lucorumterrestris, Buff-tailed bumblebee, Large Red-tailed Bumble Bee, and Early bumblebee. Individuals can grow to 6.6 feet. They have alternation of generations.
