Equisetum arvense (Field Horsetail) is a species of perennial herb in the family horsetails. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to Greenland, Canada, The Contiguous United States, and Saint-Pierre Et Miquelon. They have simple, photosynthetic stem leaves and green flowers. Individuals can grow to 0.35 m. They have alternation of generations.
