Senna macranthera is a species of shrub in the family legumes. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Sergipe, Paraná, Pernambuco, Tocantins, ParaíBa, SãO Paulo, Alagoas, Rio De Janeiro, Santa Catarina, Maranhao, Distrito Federal, Bahia, Rio Grande Do Norte, GoiáS, Espirito Santo, Minas Gerais, Piauí, and Ceará. They have compound, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 12 m.
