A shrub, 4 m. high, the twigs and leaf-rachis villous. Stipules elliptic-obloug, acute, striate; pinnae 2-4 pairs, or the upper leaves reduced to stipules; leaflets 10-15 pairs, oblong, obtuse, mucronulate, glandular-villous on both sides, 12 mm. long; peduncles clustered, slender, 1-3 cm. long; calyx glabrous; corolla glabrous, 4 mm. long; stamens elongate, red.
Type locality: Grown from Mexican seeds.
Distribution: Known to us only from the description and illustration.
