Native, warm-season, perennial, slender, twining and sparsely hairy vine, which rarely has stolons. Leaves have 3 mostly elliptical leaflets, each with obvious veins and 1-4 cm long. Stalks of the central leaflet are slightly longer than those of the lateral leaflets. Flowerheads are short racemes, with 2-6 pale blue to red-purple pea-like flowers to 8 mm long. Pods are curved, narrow, purple flecked and 10-40 mm long. Flowering is in summer and autumn. Uncommon on sandstone soils north of Kempsey. Found in woodlands and littoral rainforests.
