Omphalina jalapensis Murrill, sp. nov
Pileus deeply infundibuliform, gregarious, reaching 3.5 cm. broad and 2 cm. high; surface whitish, hygrophanous, smooth, glabrous, the margin lobed and irregular, not striate, incurved when young: context thin, white, flexible, inclined to be tough, fragile when dry; lamellae shortdecurrent, determinate, crowded, narrow, rather thick, white, several times inserted and some of them forked: spores ovoid, smooth, hyaline, 5 X 3.5 /x: stipe somewhat compressed, dilated above, smooth, concolorous, pubescent at the base, hollow, 2 cm. long, 3-5 mm.

Type collected on the ground in humus in a moist virgin forest near Jalapa, Mexico, December 12-20, 1909, W. A. b' Edna L. Murrill 165 (herb. N._Y. Bot. Gard.). Distribution: Known only from the type locality.
