Collybia nigrodisca Peck, Ann. Rep. N. Y. State Mus. 50: 98. 1897.
Pileus thin, convex, 2.5-4 cm. broad; surface glabrous, whitish or smoky-white with a brown or blackish disk: context white; lamellae rather broad, subdistant, rounded behind, adnexed, whitish inclining to cream-yellow: spores subellipsoid, 6-7.5 X 4^: stipe pruinose, even or but sUghtly striate, whitish, equal, hollow, 2.5-4 cm. long, 4 mm. thick.
Type 1.OCAI.1TY; "Wading River, Suffolk County, New York.
Habitat: In sandy soil.
Distribution: Known only from the type locality.
