Uredinia chiefiy culmicolous, scattered, usualiy numerous, oval or oblong, 0.3-1.5 mm long, sometimes longer by becoming confluent, tardily dehiscent by longitudianl slits, somewhat bullate, slightly pulverulent after dehiscence; urediniospores broadly ellipsoid or obovoid, sometimes more or less laterally compressed, 13-21 by 18-27 /i; wall goldenor cinnamonbrown, 1.5-2 fi thick, moderately and finely echinulate, the pores 2, equatorial.
