Pycnia amphigenous, caulicolous, gregarious, usualiy in groups 0.5-4 mm. across, stUTounded by the aecia, erumpent and globoid when hypophyllous, deep-seated and flattened when epiphyllous, honey-yellow, 120-145 ;t in diameter by 80-120 m high; ostiolar filaments not observed.
