Description

Small erect or scrambling shrub, 1-3 m tall. Young branches, 4-angled, grooved, green. Leaves opposite, 3-10 cm long, ovate to elliptic, light green above, bluish below and shortly hairy below when young; petiole 0.5-3 cm long; margin entire. Flowers in spike-like inflorescences on very short spur-branchlets. Corolla, greenish-pink to reddish, rarely yellow, 4.5-5.5 cm long, glandular hairy, tubular, 2-lipped; tube shorter than the lobes.
