Diagnostic Description

Hind tibiae without apical spurs; basicosta without strong setae; third antennal segment with a strong dorsobasal forward pointing spine; eyes bare; not a stout, bee-like species; antennal scape not greatly elongated; frontal callus as wide as the front; wings mostly black; thorax and abdomen black; frontoclypeus shiny black; frontoclypeus and genae swollen and shiny black.
