Diagnostic Description

Hind tibiae with apical spurs; antennal flagellum never with more than 5 distinct flagellomeres; ocelli present; wings nearly always with a dark crossband; frontoclypeus bare and shining; discal cell of wing largely hyaline; abdomen with prominent gray tomentose transverse bands on the posterior margins of all tergites; wing pattern of 2 dark bands crossing the wing at the ends of cells br and bm and beyond the distal end of the discal cell; apical spot a faint, narrow infuscation along the fore border of the wing.
