Hind tibiae with apical spurs; antennal flagellum with 8 distinct flagellomeres; ocelli present; eyes densely pilose; cell m3 always open; cell r5 open or closed and petiolate; legs prominently bicolored; beard black or dark brown; abdomen shiny black or deep brown, with segments 4 or 5-7 clothed with pale straw yellow, rufous orange, brown or black hairs; sides of the mesoscutum without pale contrasting hairs.
